    Splitboarding in Utah’s Backcountry: –>VIDEO

Splitboarding In Utah’s Backcountry from Eddie Bauer / First Ascent on Vimeo.

It doesn’t get more backcountry than this! Splitboarding looks awesome and much easier than carrying a big board on your back!

Remember to have a guide and carry avalanche locators at the very least when skiing out of boundaries. Planning and preparation are of utmost importance when going to any area not patrolled or within a resort boundary – safety is always priority ONE!

Haines, Alaska is becoming legendary for its maritime snowpack, its incredible jagged spines and peaks like Bell Ringer, where the only way to get to the top is by helicopter. And the only way to get out is to step out onto the peak as the helicopter hovers over the 2 thousand foot drop. Here, First Ascent snowboarder, Chris Coulter, talks about his descent of this incredible mountain.
